A. The neurophysiology of "happiness"

  • From philosophy to the psychophysiology of "happiness" through an evolutionary process

  • How pleasure is translated into happiness and how anhedonia is measured

  • Is happiness a survival mechanism?

  • How do genes predispose to hedonistic stimuli?

B. The Neurobiology of "Addiction"

  • What is the biological background of the obsessive use of psychoactive substances?

  • How does the shift from the phase of sobriety to a state of addiction or dependence take place?

  • Are there prescribed genetic characteristics that indicate a mandatory course or termination of the abuse?

  • Is the basis of the dysfunction exhausted biologically and psychologically or do social constructions contribute to the causes?

The seminar is addressed to mental health professionals (Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers, Sociologists, etc.) as well as to therapists of agencies that specialize in dealing with drug addiction (KETHEA-OKANA-PREVENTION CENTER- SELF-HELP PROGRAM)
